UPDATE: ALROSA RAS net profit halves to 51 bln rbl in Jan–Sep

MOSCOW, Oct 24 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian uncut diamond giant ALROSA halved on the year to 51.11 billion rubles in January–September, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), the company said in a report Tuesday.
Revenue decreased 23% to 162.882 billion rubles, sales profit fell 36% to 75.557 billion rubles, pretax profit halved to 65.286 billion rubles, and cost of sales grew 17% to 79/047 billion rubles.
Commercial expenditures decreased 86.7% to 1.808 billion rubles, while management costs grew 25.1% to 6.47 billion rubles.
The company’s long-term liabilities fell 19.5% in January–September to 170.645 billion rubles as of September 30, while short-term liabilities rose 14.6% to 37.273 billion rubles.
